Wow! This is a lot to take in. Two thoughts: very likely that Pierce was a victim turned predator. Is likely that the FBI itself set the fire in Guo’s apartment to CYA? Remotely firebombing seems a little too James Bondish even for the Chinese government. One thing is for certain: this will not end well. i don't think the FBI set Guo's apartment on fire. personally i strongly suspect guo is *not* an agent of the PRC and was very much the wanted man he presented himself to be and he saw bannon as his anti-PRC missile, though it's impossible to rule anything out.
p.s. most reporters i've spoken to who covered guo before he was incarcerated said that scary stuff starts happening in your life when you start talking about miles guo too much.

Are we sure it was Interpol who actually arrested Pearce? They don't have actual agents with cuffs & guns, AFAIK. They're more of a clearinghouse for information among agencies. Still, a horrible story all around.
i think spanish police made the actual arrest but marc collins-rector and pierce had fled the US so it was interpol coordinating tracking him and pierce and the other guy down.
